the Led Zeppelin DVD is very good, i can never watch the whole thing tho. i like led zeppelin alot.

no where near as much as pink floyd, but alot. the live version of 'since ive been loving you' is fuckin gold man. so good.

personally, I think The Song Remains The Same sucked. Robert sounds awful on that recording. I think they were pretty damn tired from touring at that point. there are some songs that are alright, and the "trippy sequences" are fun/cool. but as a whole I didn't like it much.

I've downloaded most of the stuff from How The West Was Won and that on the other hand is amazing. especially Immigrant Song.

I suggest you all to check out Robert Plant & Jimmy Page's cd "No Quarter". it's a mainly acoustic gig they did with an egyptian (I think) orchestra. they play old Zeppelin songs and it sounds really good.

I grew up on Zeppelin, i love alot of thier shit. Most of My Favorites were alot of the keyboard sort of oriented love tunes they had like Fool In The Rain, All Of My Love and so on, not too mention Dyer Maker and all the others, but they got alot of great tunes I like and their a classic ass rock n roll band, all respect.

I find it a bit crazy to compare Floyd and Zep, they're nothing alike... only around at the same time but so many other bands were too. I love em both, but I prefer Zep in all honesty but thats just my opinion.

1 other thing re: Zep & Floyd.

My older brother was lucky enuf to see Led Zep live right after graduating HS ('73!).
My brother maintains to this day he never liked Floyd citing them as too slow and boring. lol
And yes. He smoked and stuff back then too.
