I finally got the DVD of the unseen footage, it's absolutely fucking mint.

I got into them a long while ago from seeing many tribute acts trying to do their thing, but this DVD has really got me back into them.

Anyone else into them? Anyone else own the DVD?

edit: thought I'd do something useful with my 1000th post hehe

Respect for one of the greatest bands ever.

I love "Black Dog, Immigrant Song, Kashmir" and a lot more.

I go through periods where i'll listen to them alot then other times they'll annoy the hell outta me, probably cause my flat mate played out III and IV! Which were my favourites!

QuoteBook Description
This book is a 648 page expose about Led Zeppelin and a Magick/Satanic cult in England called the Argenteum Astrum, which means "Silver Star." The founder of this cult is Aleister Crowley, whose books are for sale on Amazon.com.

The major doctrines of this cult are presented in the most famous songs in the Led Zeppelin catalog. The cult's agenda is the destruction of the Christian faith. Very controversial and intellectually stimulating.

HAHAHAHA... LOL ;D

i dont like led zeppelin one bit

pink floyd live from the BBC is fucking incredible man.. especially echoes and one of these days

how can led zeppelin be people's favorite band, when pink floyd was out during the same time period, i just dont get it

I'm Not Here.
This Isn't Happening.

Azwethinkweiz

No band will ever beat Pink Floyd.

I think those two bands are very, very different. That's why I enjoy them both so much.

Led Zeppelin is more "easy listening" and still kickass greatness.

But then again, Floyd takes me away to another world/dimension, Zeppelin doesn't.

Mascara Snake

The little acoustic bit from how the west was one is incredible as well as moby dick

^^^ another awesome band =D

yoda on mars

talking about other bands: black sabbath and deep purple. these four, with zepps and floyds, are the biggest bands in the history of rock'n'roll. but they had different style. so saying that floyds are better than zepps is useless.

law

I find it a bit crazy to compare Floyd and Zep, they're nothing alike... only around at the same time but so many other bands were too. I love em both, but I prefer Zep in all honesty but thats just my opinion.

Please don't let this become a Floyd vs Zep thread lol

greencard

The DVD looks dope!

Regarding Zep/Floyd.

Too me their styles are different. Floyd's more ambient/trippy less 'rocking' then Zep. Not as hard.

I think both bands were very influential for lots of bands that followed tho.

And yea Sabbath and Deep Purple probably the other 70's bands that were the most influential from the 70's.

I'm sure 30 years from now people are gonna say, 'Korn is way better than deftones or vice versa' Or, "no way! Rage against the Machine was way better!"
