hardcore is not just one genre anymore man, it's broken off into many things, and many different types of music, and i like some of those types of music. and shit, i can't say i've never listened to metalcore or hardcore before, or else i wouldnt be listening to what i listen to now, you know? everyone starts somewhere. converge is still one of my all time favorites.

Yeh, A Movie Kind Of Life is also awesome. I love every song on that album, it's just that i'm totally in love with the singing part of As You Speak. Beauuuutiful!

i love his signing voice, he doesnt over use it either, and his growls are good too.   theres such a wide range in his vocals.

IDMCIP is top, thats got my fave screaming bit in.  oh and the breakdows oh yes the breakdowns

tribal: i listen to "emo" (i hate the term screamo) by emo i mean hardcore emo, like mid-ninties stuff. heroin, evergreen, portraits of past, funeral diner, saetia, hot cross, circle takes the square, life in pictures, portrait, indian summer,jasemine, rachel, off minor, the kyds vs. columbus, book of dead names, i hate myself, i spoke, in loving memory, etc.

if want some recomendations, just ask.

And i love Modern Life Is War. I downloaded one of their albums a while ago ... And couldn't get into it. A few weeks went by, and by mistake i clicked on one of their songs, and since them ive liked 'em.

I picked up Scarlet - Cult Classic today, what a great CD. I also picked up The Black Dahlia Murder - Unhallowed since I lost my burned copy. I wanted to get Converge - Jane Doe too, but the store I went to didn't have it.

i dont like scarlet, at all, but TBDM are good.  and you should have searched harder for jane doe, feckin infintiely better than scarlet.

whih reminds me, i got unloved and weeded out by converge this morning, ive listned to the first 4 tracks (which are from the original vynil of the same name) and wow, their sound has constantly changed, they went from the songs on this ep, to the mastery of jane doe.  the other songs are demos and live, ive already heard all of them but not in this format.  damn i love this band.

Yeah, the hardcore selection in stores around here is garbage. I still can't find any of Evergreen Terrace's CD's.

harsh, i thought it would be easier in the states :?  evergreen terrace cd's are impossible to find in shops here.  if you go to a big store you can find some hardcore, but more of the more well known bands - poison the well, from autumn to ashes, atreyu etc.  i get most of mine from the net

too bad they are not hardcore or even come close to been a metalcore band
they are  heavy fuckin metal..damn..they are insane live
alot of death metal influence..good band..but this is a hardcore thread..maybe you guys should start another thread for them..
