A Special Treat For The people In The Hardcore Topic.

From A Second Story Window Interview
- Rob Hileman (Guitarist)

Firstly, please state your name and position in the band: My name is Rob Hileman, I play guitar.

1) Where do you get your inspiration? I think our inspiration comes from friendship, bands we listen  and look up to, as well as events that occur in everyday life.

2) What are some of your favorite bands and albums? We all love alot of different music, ranging from Journey, to The Red Chord, Circle Takes the Square, Slipknot, the number 12 looks like you, and any other chaotic driven band that creates music for people with A.D.D.

3) Have you got any idols, people you look up to? We all look upto different people for different reasons and different inspirations. Some of these people include: Marilyn Manson, Kurt Cobain, Guy Kozowyk, Ben Lowery and Explicit, and most importantly people and bands that have built what they do from the ground up, just like we have.

4) Your most memorable show? Well there are two that come to mind. The first one was in Grand Ledge Michigan, at a tanning boutique. We played in the corner of 2 hallways and both hallways were filled all the way to the entrance. When we started to play the place erupted and it didn't end until we we're completely done. We had so much fun. We we're packed so tightly in there and it was such an intimate show. Definitely one of the best. The next one was in Reno, Nevada. This was a house show. We cleared everything this kid owned out of his living room and set up. We weren't sure what to expect, but kids started to pour into this place. They filled the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms, there were people everywhere. Windows were broken, kids danced, the ceiling fan was almost kicked down, and Sean wore really tight running shorts. We were packed so close I feared for my life everytime there was a dance part, but it was an amazing time and we can't wait to go back.

5) What is your goal as a band? We set new goals for ourselves everyday, but I think ultimately we just want to go as far as we can without compromising what we do.

That's for you, Terry. :D

haha right on!

it's good to see that bands we love will take a few minutes out of their time to answer questions from fans. they like some dope bands too but i don't agree with slipknot and i'm very suprised he answered with that band, but hey, i can see why they would like them and i'm not gonna knock em for what they like cause they fucking shred and that's all that matters.

thanks marty  :D

No fucking problem, mate.

Yeh, i'm really thankful for their time. It's awesome that i can actually get in contact with some of my favorite bands.

Slipknot made some chaotic shit on their s/t album, i really like that album, i must admit. Don't you, man?

BigDave
