i'd be glad to help in any way i can dude.  :D

i'm halfway through the new hast the day album. besides the obvious zao "riff offs", this is a damn good album. good breakdowns that aren't overdone. sick vocals. extremely catchy in some areas. i'm really enjoying it.

Thanks, man. I appreciate it a lot!

Where did you get the new Haste The Day album?

died20times

got it off of soul seek last night.

HeyVanity

So kids not to divert the music talk for long (that's what we're all here for obviously) but a question:

How do you feel about the whole Hardcore Kid "scene"/style/hardcore girls/straight-edge thing/etc...?
Oh and:
What's hardcore like in your area? (Good/bad/other)
Just wonderin.

the scene today, where the music takes the back seat and the haircuts and girl pants take the front. it's pretty sad when you walk into a show and see a shit load of kids lined up on the wall, in my chemical romance (or some other not so good emocore band) shirts, ostracizing people who don't look "scene" enough or don't have extremely tight pants on. i mean, when did this genre of music become a fucking fashion show? when i first started going to shows, there was no sitting around and talking about how big your fucking belt buckle is, it was just dancing. i mean, the whole fashion thing wouldn't bug me as much if they weren't such dick heads. like some of the bands i have met, all decked out in what is popular in the scene today, but they are nice fucking people at least. the more shows i go to, the smaller the pits get, and the crowd of assholes get's bigger. your hair is nice guys, too bad you don't have the attitudes to match it.

this is not to say that all the kids are like this, but it seems the number is rapidly growing.

100% agree

onlythclouds

whats converge's best album?

died20times

"petitioning the empty sky" is my favorite but "jane doe" is excellent as well and is the favorite of the most of the kids in this thread.

onlythclouds

i just listened to the red chord..didnt like them

imo, teh vocals (in this case screaming) makes or breaks the band, and in most cases that is the reason i dont like alot of hvc bands..some havew really shitty singers

Thank you dear. I'm glad you guys feel this way.

I'm sorry I don't wear aviator glasses and little skirts with high heels all the time, kids, I just come to see the show.

It gets old. I don't mean to say they're all dumbasses cos I have a lot of friends you'd probably put in that category but I find it all a little silly sometimes.

when  i go to a show, ill be standing in the back, just chillin, watching the show...i dont see the point in dancing/moshinf myself....but to each his own

died20times

lol aviators.

i'm not saying that all the kids who abide by the typical "hardcore fashion" are dumb but the majority of them are. i admit to wearing things that would be considred "scene fashion" like a mesh hat here and there, my chucks, and i have piercings that would be considered "scene" but some kids just take the fashion too far.

the idea of thinking you have to "look the part" is just riduclous.

the point is the same for any pit at any concert. to show the band your love and how much your digging the show. it's cool if you don't wanna mosh man.

i know...i didnt mean just at an hxc show...i meant moshing in general, at any show

I look like a guy that listens to pop music. I have the same earrings as Brandon Boyd, you know those black round ones.

And i mostly dress like this guy on the right:

Last time i moshed, I got my ass kicked soooo fucking bad, that i'm scared of jumping into the pit again. I bruise like a summer fruit.

Yeah, I mean I'm guilty of it here and there but it's not something I go out of my way to do. I don't think "Oh man this would be so cool to wear to a show" or anything. I just do what I like.

Haha it's funny to see what happens when you're taken out of the show environment. At shows people are like "hey cool plugs" at school people are like "WTF DUDE I CAN SEE THROUGH YOUR EAR THATS GROSS AHH." and it's just like.."umm..err...thanks?"

And other boys(especially big mean meatheads) laugh at tight-pants. Oh man. I don't mind the tight-pants thing so much though. (If they do it right it doesn't look bad) It's kinda started to grow on me...   But a lot of guys I know who do wear tight pants hate the whole "scene" thing, they just really like tight pants...
