Quote from: "died20times"yes! Beecher is one of my faviorate bands. i have mentioned Beecher in this thread, numerous times, but i don't think anyone took the time to actually check them out. awsome UK metallic hardcore. latest album, "Breaking The Fourth Wall", was produced by Kurt Ballou of Converge fame. was probably one of the best hardcore albums to be released last year, in my opinion.

I saw Beecher a couple of years ago playing with Circle & Death Before disco at the Redhouse rehersal rooms in Manchester. Theres barely enough room in there to fit 50 people. Was fucking intense.

ben

I'm gonna have to check beecher out.

I'm listening to Dead For Weeks. And it sounds AMAZING! I need to get that album.

Thanks man. ;)

some new bands you guys should give a listen-

the secret - superb metal/hardcore. heavy like woah. if you like norma jean or the bled you will most def. like this
in reverent fear - hardcore meets emo. lots of clean vocals to balance it out. very similar to glassjaw.
beecher - mentioned above. do yourself a favor and check these guys out. riyl converge and norma jean.
the bowels of judas - listen here. metal/hardcore in the vein of zao and haste the day.
still remains - shredding metalcore with added keyboard effects. riyl bleeding through or even avenged sevenfold
capital tragedy - really good melodic metal/hardcore with some massive breakdowns.

i've probably mentioned all these bands before, but just in case you wanted to check out some new bands that you may not have heard before, there you go. :)

raynor

i'm gonna check out in reverent fear, then slaughter you if i don't like it!

nah i'm kidding.

EDIT, wtf, i just search dc++ and found NOTHING, and went to there site and it said "thanks, come back later".
what a gay band!

caLa

The Secret is amazing and Beecher sounded pretty good, too.
I got Still Remains EP, its very good stuff. Can't wait for their full length "Of Love And Lunacy". They say they'll released it in March or April 2005.
I heard of Bowels Of Judas. I'm excited to hear their sound because I love Haste The Day. Will check them and the others out.

Glässjãw

I have the Still Remains EP too, good shit.

caLa

 In Reverent Fear blew me away. BEAUTIFUL! I need that album.
Everyone, listen to them. I don't think they sound a bit like Glassjaw.

omg i'm owned.

just finished listening to Bury Your Dead's new album, "Cover Your Tracks". insanely heavy but very unoriginal. i wouldn't reccomend it but if you like Throwdown or Hatebreed you'll probably dig it.

caLa

Yes, every song sounds the same, very repetitive. No bad stuff though.

Agreed, love the riffs and shit. But it gets a bit dull at the end.

And i don't get what's the big fuss about Beecher. Checked them out awhile back, and again yeasterday. Nothing for me.

give them a few more listens. maybe you have to aquire a taste for them. they really are an incredible band and a breath of fresh air as far as hardcore music goes. they are actually doing something different rather than the same regurgitated crap most other bands are doing.

I i've tried a lot of songs, most recently was: "Dead For Weeks". It's just not my style, man.

I have a weird taste, haha.

ben

bands like Beecher are good, but they just make me want to listen to Converge and Norma Jean.

died20times

The Secret's debut full length, Luce, has been leaked. i just listened to it 3 times in a row and i must say that i am very impressed and it has become an instant faviorate. brutal, with breakdowns of epic proportions tied in with some nice dark, atmospheric melodies. easily one of the best releases this year in hardcore. if you're into the same type of chaotic metalcore that Norma Jean, Beecher, and The Chariot play, i highly reccomend getting this.
