I tried to get He is Legend, but no luck. :( I'll try again later.

I listened to The Chariot and I liked it.

ben

One of you HAVE to send me new .hopesfall and he is legend. thanks.

caLa

I got He Is Legend and I'm getting Hopesfall now. Will not take that long anymore. Just hook me up at MSN and I'll send it to you.

I'd hate to ask someone to send it to me since I'm on 56k, is there a torrent for Hopesfall yet?

ben

I checked out He is Legend.  A lot more singing than I thought, but very good.

I also checked out half of new .hopesfall, i'm undecided on it.

I got the new album, and i must say, that there's nothing impressive about it, nothing original atleast. Pretty straight forward. Sounds like something you've heard a million times before. Zzz.

True.  Hopefully the last half of the album is better than the first, though i could use it as a chill-out album, I don't think it's terrible, but i can allready tell its a step down from Sattelite Years.

That's a big: "YES".

I'm using the APC cover album as a chill-out album. It's beautiful.

If you haven't got it already, download the 7 Angels 7 Plagues album: "Jhazmyne's Lullaby". It's beautiful as fuck! Seriously, the songs: "The Afternoon" and the titletrack, are amazing songs. Really beautiful. One of my favorite albums.

caLa

Yeah, 7A7P are an amazing band.

New Hopesfall is pretty good, too. Sure, it's not as good as Satellite Years but I still like it. Even though I'm a bit sad they become pretty mellow,  the guitars are still beautiful.

died20times

i guess i'm the only one who is really liking the new album. as far as heaviness goes, yea it is a step down, but ever since they're first album, Frailty Of Words, they gradually got softer with each release and i see nothing wrong with that. musically and lyrically, they stepped it up. the album is far more polished than the previous releases and the production is top notch. The vocals are about 1 bajillion times better. the same instrumentation in this album is almost exactly like The Satellite years. the only big difference i see is that he doesn't scream as much, and frankly, i don't give a shit. this is a quality album.

Glässjãw

Yeah, I'm really digging the new Hopesfall, a lot more than The Chariot.

Did anyone pick up This is Solid State Vol. 5? Wasn't there supposed to be a new Norma Jean track on it?

word.

And The Chariot was a big letdown. I expected so much more than that. I'd give it a 5.5 out of 10.

Hopesfall gets an 8.5. ;)

ben

I like the Chariot for what it is: Norma Jean minus 2 minutes a song.

I'm not normally reading this thread and I can't be bothered to go through 90+ pages and search for this band.... but has there been any discussion on the band Beecher? I just found out about them and they kick ass. best hardcore I've heard in ages. I can't find any info on them on allmusic.com though. could anyone enlighten me?

I'm listening to their album Breaking The Fourth Wall now and it's fucking brilliant.

yes! Beecher is one of my faviorate bands. i have mentioned Beecher in this thread, numerous times, but i don't think anyone took the time to actually check them out. awsome UK metallic hardcore. latest album, "Breaking The Fourth Wall", was produced by Kurt Ballou of Converge fame. was probably one of the best hardcore albums to be released last year, in my opinion.

songs to check out - Dead For Weeks. An Important Letter. Arrow Flies. Cabin Boy Jumped Ship. Let Them Drown

Jacob

thank you, much appreciated :D

I love how it's not just straight hardcore from start to finish. they have some really nice atmospheric breakdowns to even out with the really aggressive part. and the guitar work is just amazing.

I'm in love.
