I've found the new album on IRC.
But...please, can someone tell me: What means this "ADVANCE" after the albumtitle? Zao is "rough-ADVANCE"..what's that?

Btw.: Got the new Twelve Tribes LP. What do you think of them? Have to check these album out completely but I checked out one song. Sounds pretty good. The Release is "PROMO" but it's very good quality and no talking and all that stuff.

ok. so we've all had our words on the new 18v album right? right. well...i remember when Vanity came out and it just wasn't the 18v that i was used to...but the album 'grew on me' if you will.  alot of people thought that the change in sound of Vanity was due to better production, which was very true, but it was still softer.  people had alot of speculation that it was possibly because James' voice might not be able to do what he used to be able to do with it...or something of that nature.  now that i have listened to Obsession a couple times through, i still don't like it all that much and it certainly hasn't grown on me.  but i listen to it...and i again wonder if he did have something happen to his vocal chords or whatever.  even the 2 times i saw them after Vanity came out, he didn't sound as good or 'deep' as he should of, especially on their older stuff (i.e. tracks off of Until The Ink Runs Out, Best Of... ).  it is possible you know...and i know the music isn't as good as it once was, and there really is no excuse for that...but...maybe something did happen to his voice.  i know its not the same 18v but i know i'll buy the new album and if a show comes around with some decent bands, i'll go see them again.  sorry for the rant.

yeah its only a rough-ADVANCE...the real cd hasnt leaked yet
from ferret..the vocals and music will be much better quality

Yeah, check out Crowpath, they're bassicly a technical and grindy version of Norma Jean. And as for Converge - i don't think any band sounds like them.
