anyway I have faith in them that they will produce some good shit before they quit, it just needs them to be grounded again if thats possible.

When I thik think old sound it's not just fast and heavy but lots of dynamics, the odd meter shifts and time signatures. And of course the solos. I think they could go back to that but updated.
It's too bad tho cuz unlike say the deftones, Metallica isn't that experimental- incorporting a lot of other musical influences into the music.

As fas as 'metal' goes I've never been a fan of that European opera singer type vocals- Maiden, Priest, etc. Some of the music is good, but the vox. Bleh $:-\$

anyway, you can't hate metallica because lars doesn't support fans downloading music. that would mean you should like limp bizkit because, from the interviews i read, limp bizkit supported napster at about the same time and metallica and limp bizkit had a feud back then, which is why during mtv:idol, when limp bizkit performed sanitarium, james wasn't on his seat. so, let that go, please.

i don't necessarily follow the same logic because i like both and i download from torrents

also, they've already written and sold justice! why the fuck would they do it again! what do you mean "another album like that"? you want them to change the riffs a bit, vocal lines a bit and put it out? seriously guys... it's alright if they're doing something different... i liked st anger, i don't care if that makes me the n00b here, but solos have been exhausted.
