Seeing as we have a 'Best Vocalists' thread, thought I'd start a relative thread. Don't know if this shit's already been done but ah well, what the hey...

Yeah so my favourite lyricist, it's probably a toss up between Chino (the subtleties), Robert Smith (the imagery) and Maynard (the combination of both the previous). So what's yours dudes?

Me too, me too! Good choices too man! Funny thing is though, with Mike Patton, he treats lyrics more like a chore, according to him, as he put it 'i dont just sit down, look off into the sunset and find devine inspiration' and talks about how he gets his point across musically rather than lyrically! But hell, he does write good lyrics!

Man thats sad. Patton doesnt write good lyrics? ok i guess its my taste. I love people with Variety in their lyrics and also people that have fun with it and just make it flow well.

The Booklet of lyrics for Faith No More's the real thing needs to be put up on a plaque. for brilliance.

I agree with that, his lyrics are goo dbut not my fav as they're a bit too open for interpretation for me personally.

Bob Dylan is probably my fav.
