I saw Diary of the Dead today.  Not bad, it reminded me very much of the older films, I hated the way it was filmed though, all cloverfrield-like.  And the end fell apart.

trust me, i'm a big fan of the horror/zombie genre, but diary of the dead just wasnt good. i thought it had some of the worst acting ever.

it was pretty cheezy and i thought it was kind of a ripoff of escape from new york and road warrior.

It's a tribute to all those movies. Director (who also made the aweomse The Descent) said so himself. It's a mix of Mad Max, Alien, Lord of the Rings with a bit of Bad Taste-like gore. It's pretty damn cool, especially the canablistic barbecue en last chase scenes.

high tension was brutally amazing. and the song by muse towards the end was icing on the cake for me.

i don't like it more than the original, but i definitely love this flick too.

vastly underrated. the chainsaw "sword" fight at the end is fucking classic.

bill mosely and dennis hopper steal this movie. they are a riot.
