one day, we'll just go. we won't pack anything, there'll be no time for that. we won't need a roadmap, no directions, no plan, we'll just follow the powerlines out of town. i'll sleep while you drive. fiddle with the radio. you'll tell me about the world as i watch it fly past the window, spotted with rain. when we arrive you'll be sleep-soft and library silent. perhaps some unneccesary words will escape my mouth and we'll fall asleep with our books on our chests, sleeping so easily, sheltered under a marginless dream of sea & sky. we'll wake with muddled eyes & messy hair, we'll hold our cups in our hands in the sun - and if morning won't come i'll have no regrets (no, not even one.)
