Well they started of playing quite funky rock around the time Blur and Oasis were dominating the British "britpop" scene.Then they released an album called Vanishing Point  which was straight out of left field and pretty much an electronic album and dramatic change in direction much as Radiohead did with Kid A and at the time the album really broke open the scene for acts like Massive Attack and Leftfield to come to the fore.

Well worth checking out if only in terms of hearing a band drastically change their sound while still making great music much like Radiohead.

Just take a look at the albums they've released.
They are all so different and each of their albums have a new unique sound.

No way they can, the reason I brought up Primal Scream was they totally changed their sound going from rock to electronic much as Radiohead did.

I love Incubus too but they have always been straight up rock, that's it.

That's just psychological. You've designed that feeling towards them yourself. I don't see them that way at all. Cuz i'm never about the people. I'm all about the music. I don't read up on members or their personal lives (except when they are deeply related to the music, ex: Gavin's Sleep Disorder). I don't judge the music by the people that made it. I simply judge what i hear.
