Gnarrr! I missed the video to 'summer skin'!
When I saw the first one I was like "wtf..?" and then I heard the song on my way to work and had to think of the video. The effect it had on me afterwards was really amazing..
The second video was just unimportant and this one (different names for the same thing) is really cute. You can never go wrong with kids! <3

The guys were awesome on monday! We looked like giants almost made my heart burst..

w0000000000000000000t!!

I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.

then I looked around at all the eyes on the ground.. as the tv entertained itself..

cause there's no comfort in the waiting room...
just nervous pacers bracing for bad news...
and then the nurse comes round
and everyone will lift their heads...

but I'm thinking of what Sarah said..

that love is watching.. someone die!

So who's gonna watch you die? ...

Azwethinkweiz

beautiful song. amazing band.

ben

Their last album was such a disappointment.  But I enjoy their previous works.

Azwethinkweiz

I really, really love Plans.
The lyrics are the most amazing part about it.

Seriously, Ben Gibbard is a genious.

There's not one single song on that album I dont like.

It's actually my 2nd favorite album of theirs (Transatlanticism being nr 1)

For me, they are a band who just keeps getting better and better with each album.

my ratings for the albums would probably look something like this;

1. Transatlanticism
2. Plans
3. The Photoalbum
4. We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes
5. Forbidden Love EP
6. Something About Airplanes

rxqueen

Yeh, I agree, the lyrics are mindblowing, especially on plans.. some of these that touch you every time again.. (Pst, Theis, did you notice I put the video in my post?.. I hope you watched it!)

The above mentioned was one of my favs + soul meets body (sooo genius, soul meets body.. phew) and:

Sorro drips into your heart.. through a pinhole
Just like a faucet that leaks
and there is comfort in the sound!
But while you debate 'half empty or half full?'..
..it slowly rises.. your love is gonna drown!

and

And all you see is where else you could be.. when you're at home
and out on the streets.. are so many possibilities.. to not be alone!

Woowowowoooooooo

godin

I only like "the New Year" but if theres any more songs like that or ones that arent as upbeat Id like them
Dingus.

Phoenix

at was introduced to DCFC with Plans. therefore, I believe that Plans is the best album!! There are some interesting stuff in the previous works but nothing that compares to Plans...

Am I wrong by saying there are two kinds of DCFC fans : those who came before and those who came after Plans??

If I had to make my top 5, it'll go like this:

1. Plans
2. Transantlantism
3. We have the facts and we're voting yes
4. Photo Album
5. Something about airplanes

The new "I'll Follow You Into The Dark" video is absolutly fantastic.

I didn't like Plans much at all when it first came out, but it's definitely grown on me. I think it's a pretty good album now, just not groundbreaking to me like transatlanticism was.

ben

I'd say

1.The Photo Album
2. We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes
3.Transwhatever
4. All of those awesome eps.

after that, it's just ehhhh

no name cola

yeah.
The Photo Album is most definately the best. i havent really listened to Plans.

raynor

DCFC are playing this little indoorsfestival tommorrow with Hot Chip, Jenny Lewis and Love Is All. I'm probably going, even though the tickets are like 55 dollars, but what the hell.

Crazylegs

Death Cab for Cutie might be the worst live band ever. It's not that they suck, but their music doesn't qualify for live play at all.
