russell brand is not an idiot by any measure. he's so freaking smart. you guys should actually spend some time on youtube watching some legit russell brand interviews. not the ones he does on american talk shows. something like this:

he's mesmerising to watch and listen to. he's extremely bright. to say there is nothing good or right about him, you have completely missed the mark.

that's what i thought at first but man, i never feel like there's anything generally pretentious about him when he speaks. he talks about it in the interview. i think it's because he's so lively and animated people mistake it for being a douche. my friend met him a few years ago in scotland (she hated his guts prior to meeting him) and he sat with her and the two people she was with for over an hour just talking about random stuff. he's crazy smart. she loves him now.

i think it's very easy to hate him without knowing what he's about, how smart and funny he is. he's so engaging. you can sit there and watch him talk about anything.

Hes one of those guys - there was shedloads of stuff with him in it after the inital breakthrough - in some mediums hes great but in others hes a disaster....he had an ill-fated chat show that was cringworthy to the nth degree, whilst at the same time had his ponderland show (his general musings about crap he'd seen on the tv), and radio show which were really good.  He can talk all day long about nothing, which often means you've already forgotten about sub par shit because you're laughing at something else hes moved onto within 5 seconds.  The suffering with the american audience may have something to do with the fact hes known only really through his movies...which if Arthur is anything to go by, cant be good.

go for it. I bet she's got some nice acne under all that make-up. But the fact remains that cumstain (except in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, that movie was good) is titty-banging Katy Perry. I just don't get it. And she was supposed to be some Christian gospel singer a few years ago.
