medicare. my favourite card. australia has a good healthcare system. our hospitals are in a semi-crappy state though. that's what the government is trying to fix up.

plus if you're a low income earner or a student, you get a healthcare card that entitles you to get meds half-price and some doctor visits for free.

The main problem here is a shortage of workers.  There aren't enough nurses or techs.  Too many freeloaders and lazy americans that want things for free so now there is no money to hire people.  I really can't stand the people here.  They lose their job, yeah it happens.  But instead of looking for another one they sit on their already obese ass and collect from the government.  There ARE jobs out there.
