so my campus is supposed to be smoke-free, but i don't really give a shit, so i smoke on campus anyways.  and today i was standing like 25 feet from one of the main entrances where they have a sign that says "umd is a smoke free campus blah blah blah" and some dude like picked up the sign and set it in front of me.  i immediately told him to go fuck himself.  i wanted to beat his assssss

i would have said "thanks for the free sign" and walked away with it while smoking, that or "can you read that for me, i never learned how to read" or possibly "thanks for pointing that out. its funny, ive been going here x years and i never noticed that. you sir are a scholar and a gentleman. *in a loud voice for all to hear* Ladies and gentleman, this person here is so gracious and thoughtful that instead of confronting me directly about my smoking and the harm it cases others, he decided to passive-aggresively place this sign in front of me. We should all thank him for looking out for our best interests and the fact he wanted to avoid confrontation. i say we all petition to change his name to Ghandi II and exalt at his awesomeness!"

Dr Pepper to deliver on its free-soda promise


LOS ANGELES – Dr Pepper is making good on its promise of free soda now that the
release of Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" is a reality. The soft-drink maker
said in March that it would give a free soda to everyone in America if the album
dropped in 2008. "Chinese Democracy," infamously delayed since recording began
in 1994, goes on sale Sunday.

"We never thought this day would come," Tony Jacobs, Dr Pepper's vice president
of marketing, said in a statement. "But now that it's here, all we can say is:
The Dr Pepper's on us."

Beginning Sunday at 12:01 a.m., coupons for a free 20-ounce soda will be
available for 24 hours on Dr Pepper's Web site. They'll be honored until Feb.
