No,I think everyone should find love. But because you haven't found it yet,and are throwing your hands up thinking it's a waste of time is really sad. And I think everyone should have some sort of goal...it doesn't have to be huge,but something..otherwise,what kind of example are you setting for the future? It's good to just live...but at some point you have grow up and get things organized for your future. How can you retire if you haven't saved money? That's a goal,to put back money for things like that. But you do whatever is best for you.

As far as the asshole deal....that's been resolved.

you make it sound like I'm a bum with no future, no money, no nothing... I have a great job. I sit all day in a really expensive office in one of the nicest and most central parts in the capital of my country. and the job is fun. I get to be creative, I learn new things every day and I get in touch with new people pretty often. if I keep it up and perform even better I'm gonna be part owner in the company (it's a small company) within a couple of years. just last week I found a big nice apartment where I'm moving at the start of next month. and so on.

so obviously I think about the future. but I'm not gonna waste my time making plans for how my life will be, what sort of car I'll drive in 2 years, where I'm gonna live in 5 years etc. and I don't expect anything particular from life. I'm not even sure if I want to keep working here in 10 years, something a lot better might've come along. or maybe I just grow tired of it and decide not to work instead. as long as I feel good with myself and feel I'm a good person all is well.

if I meet someone and fall in love it's not like I'm going to fend them off. I've just given up on trying to look for someone and instead I let it just happen (if it happens).

This seems similar to my case. I used to think a lot of my future concerning relationships and dating, and I was kinda searching for the right one and thinking if she'll be the one or she or she....
Well, luck wasn't on my side so I gave up the "hunting" and started to live more like day by day just having fun. And I did have fun. And eventually found love....in an elevator (true story, not like I'm promoting Aerosmith). I never thought that night and that place would be the one I meet my girlfriend.

Love isn't a waste of time but devoting your life to searching it, is.
