The only thing that would help me right now would be the ability to go back exactly one year with the knowledge I now possess, and redo all the mistakes I've made.

Funny, that's the conclusion I've ended for myself too...
I'd say that even when doing s things differently (which I wished I had done, I guess it's the same for you), the same issues would have arisen, and led to the same conclusion, maybe using different ways, maybe after some more time, etc., but in the end same conclusion...

Maybe I'm just trying to comfort myself though, but it kinda works, so you should try....

You're right, but it's 8am on a Sunday morning and I was up all night talking to my friends about this, and haven't slept yet, and I'm bored, which is why I'm here. I hope that's legal.
