things i have learned this week:

♥ it is entirely possible to live on bread, ice-cream and onion rings alone.
♥ if someone is dead set on having a psycho everybody-hates-me day then they will, despite my pleas. but le sigh you guys. le sigh.
♥ sometimes, endless procrastination is more fucking exhausting than just doing something.
♥ interpol are quite brilliant, actually.
♥ i really need to start being creative again. it's kind of becoming a downward spiral in which i leave it so long to write that it seems like so much effort so i put it off, watch The Simpsons, go for a nap, peruse the internet for a while. and, before i know it, i'll be celebrating my centennial and telling people in the queue at the post office "yes well i always wanted to be a writer but, you know, i just couldn't really be bothered to pick up a pen." i knitted a little bit yesterday, right enough. baby steps.
♥ Planes, Trains and Automobiles is so not as funny as i seem to remember it being, despite my severe and inappropriate love for Mr Steve Martin (has anyone seen Shopgirl?). Kill Bill however, is my new favourite film. i did not get the UmaLove before, but nowwww i see. in other film news, today i will mostly be watching The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
