True, looks don't matter in the pit. However, when the appearance of one of the most important historical and religious figures of the last 2000 years is tampered with in order to manipulate his supposed ethnic origin, which is the Middle East, I think that does matter. It matters because it's indicative of an underlying denial within some Christian communities in the West that their religion began in the land of the Arabs and the Jews.
