I never had that man. I just like it where say you're already high, and you step out the car or something and it's already laid a good couple inches and its still coming down hard. Just kinda feels like your all enclosed and safe. Like you're in a dream or something. It can feel amazing man.

man, its weird not being into the new music stuff. i talk to all of these people who never listened to good old bands before and i can't go on with my music rants. then they say something like "listen to Tree Fingering Heaven" and i'm WHAT THE FUCKKKK. i give new stuff a listen honestly but it never ever affects me at all. some do, like the strokes' new stuff and occasional bands but man, it sucks sometimes. oh well.

thats because back in the day it never really took work to get into music, everything was based around more ear-pleasing sounds that most of the time made it a point to keep the listeners attention likst loud sounds in a movie. Now that music has been around for so long things have gotten infinitely more complex (and will continue to do so) and i dont think you can REALLY get into alot of newer bands without playing their albums through once or twice and familiarizing yourself with the strange new techniques people use today.

I could completely missunderstand what you're saying, but if you just wanna listen to what you're playing whilst you are recording then just grab a 4-track recorder or something. The audio out runs into your computer or whatever the fuck whilst you got a phone jack to listen to what you're playing plus any previously recorded/click tracks you might have on there.

well man, what are you using to record?
cause the shittiest recording program i ever used to record my bands demos was Cool Edit Pro 2.0
and you could easily do what youre asking for on that.
but now we use Logic Platinum.

and the best way to record a guitar is to put a mic right in front of the amp. so youll definatly be able to hear it. but make sure its a really damn good amp mic.

but i cant give you all the details cause im a drummer/keyboardist.
