There has been an issue on my mind lately. For months and years. And it has become clearer to me as each year jumps onto the next.

What I'm about to say is my opinion. What I see with my eyes and what I feel in my intestines. So you don't have to buy or even relate to what I am saying here. I just want to share.

I want to ask this question...

Why are we trying to climb the ladder so high to feel updated and validated, to the extent of stupidity?

This makes me feel very sad indeed. Most of us are covering ourselves up, like paper mache. There's a new skin, layer after layer so we can finally build up to this more smoother, shinier, younger and outstanding persona.

I might sound selfish, but I don't want people to look shiny. I want them to be shiny because they write their names on the wet footpath and not branded by some father figure who believes in patriarchy.

It makes me feel sad because I feel that humanity is dying. I think most of us don't want to be human anymore. We want to be so unique and out of this world.

Alain de Botton once wrote to me,

"I don't think that all of us are necessarily that individual, and it doesn't matter. After all, all our physical needs are pretty similar and our psychological needs are too. So we're a mixture of the individual and the group - and that's the way most of us live our lives, conforming to many things, but opting out of a few. And that's absolutely fine..."

He pretty much sums it up.

I don't want people to try so hard to be so extravagant. I want to return to the 80's when I was a kid and my mum bought me clothes from Target. I want us to all roll in the grass again in the rain and not care about our hair. I want us to get pieces of food stuck to our face because we are enjoying what we are eating because we don't care, I want us to to all know that legs are for walking and climbing, that hands are to pick up things, that eyes are to see with, that teeth are to chew with, and a heart is to be used, not manufactured in the worlds biggest factory. The media.

I don't want to see humanity gone! I want you guys not to feel ashamed to not comb your hair or gasp if you forgot to powder your nose.

I want everyone to use love as their lifes motive. When meeting new people, always look for the good in them. Don't run away when you see faults.

Theres no such thing as a weird person, they just grew up differently or have a different lifestyle. What they are, they think is normal.

We all need love.

I hope this doesn't sound like a lecture but this is how i feel in this moment of my life. We are forgetting that we are the same species. We all shit and wake up with crusts in our eyes, even murderers do.

1. People have always been shitty as hell, even more so during the crusades and massacres of the past 3,000 years.
2. Yea, people can get a little too worried about clothes and status.  I live in a town filled with golfcourses and shopping malls.
3. Humanity is kind of dying, but at the same time, a lot of people like you see through the BS that's been going on lately, trust me.
