no, i have never been to ireland. i'm almost scared to go because there'll be too much hotness and it will cause me to have a stroke or something haha. i watched a documentary three years ago about cork and it looked wonderful. it looked really melancholy because the whole thing was shot during winter. i was completely cracking the fat over the guy who was narrating it and at the end came the real corker, the narrater (his first name escapes me but his last name was collins) comes out and he's like, "this is ireland and its been a pleasure", then he bows and walks out of the shot.
