I am recovering from my first serious broken bone in 2 years. Busted my femur whilst swimming with a good buddy of mine in a slimy lake at 2am on a 105 degree day while unbelievably wasted.

It's called Greenlake. It has earned this name for many reasons, one of which is it is homeland of all ducks in the city of Seattle. There is a small island walking distance from shore called Duck Island which is quite literally covered in a nice layer of duck feces. This small lake also happens to be in the middle of several residential neighborhoods which are all above water-level, meaning the lake is basically a collector of runoff and duck shit. It's gross and amazing to swim in. I am glad to say that I have finally seen a fish in Greenlake.

I was in LA last weekend and San Diego the past two night.  Its fucking freezing at night.  I mean I know I live in the dam Mojave Desert so normal weather seems cold.  But I was shivering this weekend when I didn't have a hoodie.

We've had a weird summer. It was mega boring and gray, then all of a sudden it was 105 which is a record for Seattle. Like, an all-time record. We had never had a temperature of 105 ever. Then it was 90 for like three days and now it's back to being boring.

if you consider that freezing cold, then I suggest you come visit Sweden any time of the year except summer. putting on a hoodie won't help. sometimes setting fire to yourself seems like the only option.

the summer's been weird here in Sweden too actually. we've had record amounts of rains and days like today when it's so hot you can barely get your brain to think. every time it's rained it's been a fucking monsoon and at least twice it's even been hailing - in the summer!
