What do you think about religion ?

I was raised as a "Catholic". However, I never believed, knew, or wanted to know anything about religion, I simply did what I was told to do. To this day, I've not found any source of enlightenment or any kind of answer to any of my actual problems from Catholicism. I do not believe in putting a name and face on our so called "creator". For the simple reason that I cannot see him/her/it with my own eyes...Maybe it's over my head, and as I grow older will forge a relationship with this so-called "God", but for the moment I do not have the time nor the patience to be bugging myself with worship for an invisible deity who may or may not exist. An example of the stupidity being the reason why I feel this way would be: I know a girl...who one day claimed(heavily lol) that "God" had cured her of her diabetes and had saved her life...she stopped taking her insulin...3 days later, she ended up in the hospital. Go figure.  I firmly believe that there is probably something out there in this vast universe that is more in tune and intelligent than the human being, and that religion has yet to prove to me(or show me some kind of "verification" be that physical or just something that changes my opinion) that there is any truth to the stories whatsoever. I believe that the catholic religion and everything surrounding it is A WAY of making gullible humans fear for themselves and think about their actions before they take them. A way of inducing the difference between right from wrong, morality. I believe that Churches are a scheme to obtain benefits(money) from the general public(anyone who's dumb enough to believe "God" really NEEDS money.) blanketed with spreading the religion.
