Read mostly negative things about it, but this is a good science fiction movie in my books!

Dredd 3D

I thought it was a pretty good solid movie :D Much better than the atrocity of 1995 with Sly.I hope for a sequel because this was just like the comic dark, raw, crude and dirty.
Awesome movie :D Urban did a solid job.

Dredd 3D

Same here, I wasn't expecting much from the trailers but it was amazing in my opinion. One of the best action films I've seen in awhile and it didn't hurt that the 3D was integrated well. It's a shame it isn't doing so hot at the box office, because this movie is deserving of a sequel.

bright lights, big city

Dredd completely surpassed all expectations for me. Absolutely loved it. It had some good one-liners, but they weren't cheesy like how Stallone would say it ("I AM the law!" vs. "AY YAM THE LAW!"). 9/10.

Also, it was very similar to The Raid: Redemption, which is a good thing, in that they just made a damn good action flick that takes place inside a tall skyscraper and it's up to one or two people to bring a kingpin down.

I wish I could but I just dont feel Brosnan portrait of the character : \ on the other hand I like the soundtracks of the 90s movies which is weird.Sheryl Crow,Tina Turner and Garbage soundtracks are great. The only thing I didnt like about Casino Royale was the awful sountrack by Chris Cornell.

Really you didnt like Cornell's song ? I did. Was nice to have a man singing in a bond movie for a change, and I think he nailed the epic quality of the movie.

By the way, to me you've watched one of the best -if not the best- bond movie. I hardly remember the Sean Connery ones though.

Re-watched Goldeneye recently, although its the best one with Brosnan, it's gotten old, and don't stand the comparison with Casino Royale to me.

I watched it recently again too (got the blu, let's just say I'm an aficionado), still love it. Funny that you guys love Craig so much as Bond. It's widely considered that people are negative to him. Most of that is just old people being old, but a point I make is that he's only been in 2 Bond movies - one awesome, the other pure shit.

Brosnan is my favorite, probably because he was the one I grew up with, but respect to the others (except Dalton, do not like his 2). Goldfinger, From Russia With Love from Connery. I think Moore was the oldest Bond, but you'd probably like his movies. Live and Let Die was great, as was Golden Gun and Moonraker.

Finished watching Quantum Of Solace.
Pretty solid revengful to be a Bond movie.
Waiting for Skyfall now

Gee

Come on Quantum of Solace wasnt that bad. Completely uninteresting especially compared to the previous one, but still above the level of the average Brosnan-bond-movie (The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, give me a break!). I did like the way Brosnan played the character, but I just think he was taking part in the wrong sequence of the saga -no.more.ideas.

Eager to see Skyfall. Sam Mendes directing, Bardem as the bad guy, wow.  8)

The Shining:

I absolutely loved the technical perfection, the eerie score and Nicholson's performance.

Had some unintenionally funny moments, though. Especially the ending  ;)

QoS was a PoS (like what I did there?), but yeah Die Another Day was atrocious. One of the worst of franchise. But just like the average woman in her 50s, I think Brosnan was the epitome of Bond - and made your panties moist.

I watched The Shining many, many years after watching The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes, so a lot of it was funny for me. But also scary. One of my favorite Kubrick films.
