the new world -  shit

hollywoodland - decent, worth a watch if yer bored and out of options

wet hot american summer -  not really that funny,  i generally like the team (guys from stella (comedy central show), who i think are hilarious usually)

surrogates -   better than i expected, again worth a gander

in bruges -  was billed as funny and action packed,  which is was neither but still an alright divergence

gosford park -  never really held my interest but a good cast

eastern promises -  pretty damn swell,  go ahead and steal it

chocolat -  seems like a lame heartwarmer,  which it basically is, but still my heart is now warm and it feels good

this is spinal tap -  funny

I saw Paranormal Activity the other night.  While it certainly wasn't as scary as everyone is saying it is, it was still a very well made film.  It uses the less is more concept, never truly showing you too much and slowly building up the suspense as the movie progresses.  If anything, it was a sign of things to come for the talented director.

Just a couple of old horror classics:

The Body Snatcher- Boris Karloff is the fucking man, B+
Brides of Dracula-  I love the Hammer horror films.  Peter Cushing is a badass. B

AMC is showing some pretty good stuff...however, I looked ahead on TCM and saw they are having about 7 or 8 Karloff films back to back, and they are lesser known films.  I can't wait to DVR all that.

Watched Trick 'r Treat for the fifth time in, like, 1½ week.

This could easily become an all time favorite horror movie. Just love it.

I do have to say that Saw 6 was better than Saw 5, though none of the sequels will ever compare to the first so they should just quit now.

On a side note Zombieland was awesome.

On a side note this is just awesome.
