I love Elephant as well. The bright colors. I like how at the end when a horrible thing is happening, yet it doesn't feel like it isn't a cheesy action movie. It feels soft.

I want to see Ken Park. Its been on my list for the past 2 years.

I wouldn't say Elephant was slow developing, it just let you really get to know the characters in a natural, non-Hollywood way.

Ken Park got banned in Australia. Larry Clark is serious business. I've seen it though and it isn't as controversial as his other movies.

He's overrated, his movies have more shock than real story and that gets old fast.

I don't think he's overated. I like that shock factor of him. I like his movies a lot, but my fondness of them doesn't come as close as my fondness for his photography works. No one really knew about him untill they banned Ken Park then folks were all like 'ohh this man is terrible, exploiting children and making a profit out of it'. You just have to look through the shock factor and get to the core purpose of his movies. Not many people think there is a 'core purpose' but I do. They've shaped my perception somehow and I give him a huge amount og credit for that.

Not saying there's not a purpose, but it takes backseat to the shock.

It's shocking when you watch it the first time then it kinda gets old when you watch it again.

I like shocking movies, I'm a doco freak so I need a little shock to get me interested in movies.

I saw Chicago and Ladder 49 this weekend.

My friends like Chicago because it's cheesy and they have a female crush on Catherine Zeta-Jones. I could see the cheesy-ness, but Catherine wasn't that great looking. Pretty, but not hot. That, and I like John C. Reiley.

Ladder 49 was only good because of Joaquin. I'd lick his face.

And Renee Zellweger kicks Zeta-Jones ass anyday.

Hide and Seek - Hilarious. A little too similar to Secret Window which wasn't exactly highly original.

The Upside of Anger - pretty good, not what I was expecting, I guess you could call it a dramedy

Alexander: Director's Cut - Not as bad as I was expecting, but nothing great. Colin Farrell and Jared Leto looked like some metal gay couple with the clothes and hair which gave me a good laugh...yeah.

Tonight, I'm gonna watch Constantine. I've heard a lot of bad things about it and I don't really expect much, but I still want to see it.

My dislike for Catherine Zeta-Jones is nearly as big as my dislike for Angelina Jolie. I can't stand her cause she's such a terrible actress. At least with Renee, she gives it a kick in the balls you know. I loved her in Cold Mountain and my love for Bridget Jones Diary is fucking phenomenal.

Oh, and Constantine isn't that bad. The worst thing about it was Keanu Reeves but Rachel Weiz was alright and the angels in the movie had some bad-ass wings. I liked the black wings, they were awesome.

I have to disagree. I did like Catherine's acting. Renee Zellweger just seemed way too dramatic in this. And she has no boobs.

I stopped watching Chicago cause I couldn't handle Catherine's terrible performance. Chicks With No Boobs will be very angry with your statement.

i heard the same thing. that all the good bits are in the trailer but the movie is mostly set in a courtroom or something?
