Watched Highway on Wednesday night ..loved it

Jared Leto, Jake Gyllenhal, Selma Blair

Then saw Star Wars on Thursday night...can't say I was that impressed, I liked the effects, that acting blew

I too saw the new Star Wars on thursday. Although it was entertaining and the light sabre battles were nice, some things bothered me but I really can't put my finger on it. The movie was overally kinda all over the place and I couldn't remember anything of it when I came out of the theatre. Also, some lines were somehow stupid. And Palpatine looked like an ass...literally.

Tonight I watched Garden State which was good but nothing spectacular.

And I watched Alien 3 Special Edition...it was quite a lot different from the theatrical version which was probably an improvement.

I saw the Grudge this morning. Wow, that was an hour and something wasted. That movie was terrible but Jason Behr was reasonably good-looking.

I must admit, she looked good in the film. Even I'd hit it. But yeah, Mr. and Mrs. Smith was better than I thought it would be and not because there were some good looking people in there *cough*VinceVaughnAdamBrodyBradPitt*cough*. The story was completely stupid, but the way it developed throughout the film made it watchable and I didn't even look at my watch to see what the time was. Pretty impressive if I say so myself.

I also saw Kinsey, which was pretty good, too. Liam Neeson can act and he made the movie more enjoyable. I really had no qualms with it, except that toward the end it got a little boring, but good nonetheless.

The Magdalene Sisters was really depressing. It was good, but I thought it would be better. Some of the characters really bugged the hell out of me. I would have talked back to the TV if there wasn't anyone in the room. That, and I was expecting better acting.

This week in my history class we watched Gandhi, although I didn't get to see the last 10 minutes. Now that was a great movie with some awesome acting. Ben Kingsley is so lovable in the film. He did a really good job playing Gandhi, although in the beginning of the film he looked more like a white guy than an Indian.

Mazzy

My dad and I LOVE Ben Kingsley, he's a brilliant actor. I love how he can pretty much take on any role and put so much of himself into it. I really really liked the House Of Sand and Fog.

As for Angelina Jolie...nahh I'm not falling for it. Whatever she's trying to portray, I'm not believing it. I liked Girl, Interrupted, only cause I like Winona. Jolie did a reasonable job but I just don't like her, not that I know her or anything, I just don't believe it when she says all this shit in interviews. It bugs me. And when I see her I think of plastic, automatically.

The Captain

That's funny considering she gets more done than you do.

And how could you like Winona, but not Angelina? Winona is a horrible actress and not exactly a stellar person.

you got to take the movie for what it is.. Its not supposed to be a "serious" and scary horror movie.. I think its hilarious and if people liked the "Evil Dead" movies they will definetly like this one too.. ;)

I just see this sense of honest humanity and realness in Winona that I don't see in Angelina. I'm not saying I hate her like I want to see her die or something. I just don't think she's the 'great actress' that people make her out to be. There's this fakeness that's just so apparent when I see her speak or act. It shits me. I don't want this to come out the wrong way or make it sound harsh but this whole UN thing, I really don't think she's doing it for the cause sorta speak, more for the image that she wants to get in the media for being a kind human being. When she speaks about it, it sounds like she's putting it on show or something. She's always mentioning the great work she's doing and it's not like, she's drawing attention to the poverty stricken Cambodia or anything but drawing attention to herself almost in the sense of 'look at me, I do this awesome work in Cambodia I'm a real woman now praise me'. I don't buy it. That's how I see it cause I have witnessed her speaking about it on certain occasions and it has seemed fake to me everytime. I used to like her before but gradually, I have lost my likeness of her overtime.

I don't care if she's accomplished more than I have. Jesus, I'm 18 years old and she's like, nearly 30 or something. Obviously she'll get more work done. I'm not one to blab about the good work I do. I do it for myself and the outcomes and not for others to fawn over me. That's just how I see it, I was and still am stating my opinion. You don't have to like it but it's not going to change.
