Duuuude. The original is such a piece of garbage. Everything from dialogue, acting, music, atmosphere, etc. It sucked so bad.

This is one of the few times where the remake is superior to the original in every single way.

that's exactly the point. it was just purely messed up....about crazy messed up ideas....you could see a shitty movie blossoming into something really horrific. it changed the way that horror movies were really thought about. to remake it, to "correct" it's mistakes is compromising, in my opinion.

but on topic, I saw Sherlock Holmes today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very fun, and loved how everything came together at the end.

Yeah the remake was WAY better of the crazies! lol. I love Romero as a director but damn the original is like pulling teeth to get thru in one sitting.
