Quotei just watched "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer"

from the beginning on i kind of watched it like an antithesis to a super hero movie. a super-villian movie so to say.
a guy with a superior sense of smell and a broken mind wants to safe the smell of beautiful, virgin women forever and creates a parfum out of women that he has to kill.

i think some of you know the novel or the movie. i like the different setting. not the typical new york gangster who kills with a sniper rifle or something.

im asking myself who he was able to kill al those virgins if their smell in a parfum was able to apeace all people around him that actually wanted to slaughter him.

one explanation could be: due to his education he was not able to feel any love at all.

and y did everyone died that he left (his mother, the women of the orphanage, the tanner, the parfum creator) he did not kill them but they all died when jean-baptiste left them. what the meaning of this motive?

maybe someone can answer my questions here?

i think that was told somewhere in the book, but it seems that tragedy happens when he leaves people who tried to take advantage of him in different ways

I watched Babylon AD tonight and it was a decent film and all, but I got a bit confused about why exactly Toorop was taking Aurora to New York... though 3 people decided to text me so I did get a bit distracted.

Going watching Pineapple Express, Somers Town or Rocknrolla tomorrow probably.

deafnotes

AB is on my top, so kudos lawl

I watched Pineapple Express yesterday and I thought it was pretty cool :]

I saw a poster for Quarantine while I was at the cinema so it's not long til it's out I guess. I don't think it'll be as good as [REC] but I'll probably end up going to watch it.

I saw Burn After Reading on Friday and loved it.   Coen brothers are at their best when they do the comedy.

bright lights, big city

im gonna see that this weekend. is it anywhere near as funny as big lebowski??

Bright Lights !..Why the fuck are you so damn awesome? Cant you be a piece of shit sometimes?

defskull

I think so.  It reminded me of Big Lebowski in the sense of average people getting involved in something way over their heads and watching the hilarity that ensues.

wither-I

are you sure burn after reading is good.

because im really tired of seeing bad movies (or movies that dont live up to their promise)

"coming into the nearness of distance"

just saw:

things to do in denver when you're dead
ghost world

both great movies.

lostpilot

yeah, Ghost World is really good.
which reminds me I have to watch it again some day

bright lights, big city

just saw: Shopgirl and Fight Club (obviously, a classic)
Shopgirl had Steve Martin and Jason Schwartzman in it, but yuck, aside from a few funny awkward moments, it just wasn't good.

Yeah, can't go wrong with Romero and Falling Down is just awesome.

I saw Burn After Reading, very enjoyable, especially if you're a fan of the Coen Bros.

Brad Pitt and everyone overall was great, but the best scenes were with J.K. Simmons ( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0799777/ ) everything that guy is in is amazing.

One of the best lines came at the beginning of the movie "You're a fucking Mormon. Next to you we all have a drinking problem"
