I saw Oldboy today. I wasn't very impressed with the story. It felt like the movie wasn't really going anywhere and kept dragging on. I was impressed with how some of the shots were filmed and its editing. That's the only thing that kept me interested.

fightclubche

I liked oldboy, it was pretty effed up.

It's hard to decide witch one from the three extremes is the best. Cut was the most entertaining, but Box had this freaky ending that I liked. Im not too much into short movies though.

I saw Hoodwinked... Funny and all... Good movie IMO.
Check it if you have some spare time...

Could you recommend some films for me during that period?

one weak

french new wave films that i absolutely loved:

Breathless (A Bout De Souffle)- Francois Truffaut
The 400 Blows- Truffaut
2 or 3 Things I Know About Her- Jean luc Goddard
Jules Et Jim- Goddard

anything by Truffaut or Goddard is amazing

also i love Italian neo-realism...check out this. one of my favorite movies ever:

The Bicycle Thief (or thieves) -De Sica

on a side note, basically anything that Ingmar Bergman ever did will blow your mind.

watch Persona...it will change your life!!!

black coffee

I've seen the movie "Munich" yesterday by Steven Spielberg.

the story in short-form:

11 Israeli athletes were killed at the Munich Olympics in 1972 by a Palestinian terrorist group. All hostages die, while the terrorists escape. The Israeli government recruits a group of Mossad agents to execute those responsible for the attack.

Great movie.

minus_blindfold

Well, I've been lickin' this carpet for 3 whole hours and I don't feel like a lesbian.

The Bicycle Thief was on a list of recommendations for me on Netflix, so I'll definitely check that out.

I've only seen one Ingmar film and that's The Seventh Seal which is a movie I absolutely adore.

Thanks for the recommendations.

one weak

yeah seventh seal was great.

man, i need to get netflix...

nothing bleeds like

I got the deluxe edition of Snatch yesterday for $15.

This movie's awesome, if you don't watch it for a long time and then watch it again, it's funny as hell all over again.
