Mad Maynard

I heard a rumor that Quentin Tarantino is going to make a third Kill Bill in like 10 or 15 years in which Uma Thurman's character's daughter, which will be played by the same girl which is why it will take so long to make, is grown up. Allegedly Tarantino has already filmed some scenes with the girl while she is still young. This seems a little far fetched to me though.

You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose;but, you can't pick your nose in front of your friends.

Yeah, I remember him saying that last year. I really don't want him to do that. Kill Bill is done with. It's time for bigger, better and new things.

i watched Old Boy last night. japanese film or somewhere from round there.

i thought it was pretty cool. a bit of a sick twist at the end.

Well, I've been lickin' this carpet for 3 whole hours and I don't feel like a lesbian.

Jan

it's south korean

yeah I didn't realy like the ending, especialy his reaction after he figured...

I saw also Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, it's the same director. It was realy good, I think it was better than Oldboy.

minus_blindfold

its just sad. imagine if it was you, finding out what he had done.   (i dont wanna spoil it for anyone)

If you liked Oldboy, I suppose you should give this one a try. It could be also Joint Security Area which is aswell by the same director, it's a political drama, it's also good but I think not as much as Sympathy for Mr Vengeance.

So, I just finished watching A Clockwork Orange. I liked it a lot. Depressing in some parts of the movie, but overall, I enjoyed it.

One question though...what the hell was the last shot about? (two girls wrestling/canoodling)
..Yeah don't go there,

I let you get to me

yeah yeah.

I still need to read the book, but the movie is fucking awesome.

I never got that part myself. I just assumed someone was high when writing it.

Jerry_Curls

Yeah, I really want ot read the book.

One thing that I did not notice in the movie was if they used the street slang [like in the book]? Yes? No?

yea it's called nadsat, and it's used even more in the book as it's told in the first person, alex.  the book is one of my favourite's, truly stunning, although it's difficult reading at first.  the ending is entirely different aswell.

dusttones

The book rules the movie.

i finally saw Last Days. i think the only thing i like about it is the fact that it's about an alternative rocker. not many movies out there that cover grunge era musicians. but still, this movie could of been a lot better. a lot of unnecessary long takes that bored me. i enjoyed the Boyz 2 Men part, i didnt expect that haha. and the Venus In Furs one too.

i dont know. i liked it. but nothing great.

Clay Pigeons is a awesome movie.

I watched Munich at a late night showing yesterday. I thought it was incredible. I was wary of seeing it cause I really don't like Spielberg's movies, but the screenplay was incredible - taut, fast paced, insert other generic adjectives here. The only issue I had with it was when Ali, a Palestinian terrorist, started arguing with Avner (who he believes to be a member of a different terrorist group) about Israel's right to exist, and Avner didn't say anything concrete like "yes it does!" and didn't argue with him. That scene made me burn with indignation, because Ali was basically spewing misinformation and lies, carefully sensationalised to promote the utmost sympathy for his terroristic cause. For any viewer who isn't well acquainted with the history behind the situation, it's a highly misleading rant. Then again, it wasn't Spielberg's or Kushner's job to present a political discourse (and plot wise, Avner would have given himself away if he flew the We Heart Israel 4eva flag); I think the movie took for granted Israel's right to exist, if not its unquestionable morality.

Though I didn't like the part with the Dutch woman, it did strengthen Spielberg's message about the insatiable, hardening nature of revenge.

Oh, and I <3 Eric. Brilliant acting in this film.

hydroponic82

what happened to the dutch woman?
