haha what a lame movie
why do women have to be such women when it comes to situations like this
its either my father or another family, why fuck around and jeopardize my fathers life, and try to save this other family. just do your job and help this guy assassinate the family
but ehh, it was entertaining i guess

So I caught up on my films this weekend and saw Palindromes, Annie Hall, Swingers and Brokeback Mountain.

Palindromes was weird and dirsturbing, like all of Todd Solondz's films. At first, I thought it was good and I was barely getting the main theme of the film. After I slept on it, I realized then that it was a great film. It just took me a while to get into the whole 50 different Avivas thing.

Annie Hall was good, too. Woody Allen has a quirky sense of humor that I like. Too bad he reminded me way too much of my brother in this film.

Swingers was good, but a little boring in the beginning. I love Vince Vaughn and I enjoyed his acting in this film. Overall it was good, but not great.

After a year and a half of waiting, I finally got to see Brokeback Mountain and it was great. Both Heath and Jake did a good job, as did Michelle Williams, which surprised me.

CentralIllNoise

^haha. Swingers is a classic. so many good lines

manic_bastard

last movie i saw was Criminal

which i thought was weird. i liked the ending. even though it didn't make sense at all. i was just happy the spanish guy ended up with maggie gyllenhaal

Some Tarantino news:

After a long period of rumor and speculation, Quentin Tarantino's "Hell Ride" has finally received the green light. According to longtime Tarantino collaborator and leading man Michael Madsen, who is set to star in the movie, Tarantino just recently received the good news. "It's a motorcycle picture," Madsen reported, squinting and rasping in his trademark style. The film, which Tarantino will produce, was written and will be directed by actor Larry Bishop. "He was the one in the [strip] club [in 'Kill Bill 2'] who tells me to take my hat off," Madsen said. "Hell Ride" will be "reminiscent of the '70s, those motorcycle pictures they made with Joe Namath; the really bad B-movie motorcycle movies," he continued. "We're gonna make it like that, but in modern times, with that kind of idea behind it. I think that's what makes it fun." The project, a revenge-fueled tale of three "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"-type characters, is slated begin filming soon.

I wanted to see that movie but missed it. THat and Constant Gardener. Can't wait to see that one.

BigDave

a history of violence was ok, but not really much point to the film.  worth a watch anyway.

Azwethinkweiz

Just watched The Devil's Rejects. It wasn't really as violent as I thought, but cool movie nonetheless! The end sequence with Freebird playing was great.

I saw this Hong Kong movie One Nite in Mongkok and I loved it. I was watching realy a lot of asian movies lately and a lot of good ones, but this one definetly stands out. Gonna watch it again soon. I highly recomend this one to everyone who likes some asian flicks.

I also saw this japanese movie Survive Style 5+ staring Tadanobu Asano(Kakihara from Ichi The Killer) and Vinnie Jones. It was pretty interesting kind of fun.
