The Captain

Compared to George Clooney and Christian Bale, yeah, but everyone pales in comparison to Keaton, he just fucking is Batman.

DefCubus

Val was a better Bruce.

The Captain

Still disagree, but he got the best girl

I remember reading and seeing pictures of him handing out drinks at an Iraqi airport. I liked him since then.

you have to be fucking kidding me you are putting Christian Bale in the worst actors who portrayed Batman. He is the second best actor to portray Batman second only to Kevin Conroy (who voiced Bruce Wayne/Batman for Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond).

I am not saying Keaton is bad because he worked the best he could with the material that was given to him because the writers did not have a good grasp of the character at all. The fact is he was not physically suited for the role of Batman regardless of the performance (there was even a HUGE petition for them to recast the role of batman back in 1988 since nobody thought he was right for the role), the other actors in both films overshadow his performance when he was supposed to be the main character, and just plain and simple he just dosen't act as batman should (again the character was written very poorly). i could go on and on for days about why keaton isn't the definitive batman and give list after list and i could if you want me to but i am not going to right now.

Don't get me wrong i enjoy both Batman and Batman Returns (even though the latter is barely a Batman movie) but the fact of the matter is they are not the best Batman movies. Anyone who thinks Keaton is Batman is someone who grew up watching the first 2 Batman movies and that is their earliest memory of Batman so that is who they identify Batman with so they have a prejudice towards any other portrayal of Batman.

I am a big Batman fan in case anyone couldn't figure that out already lol

The Captain

nah, my earliest memory is watching reruns of the old TV show and after seeing the first Tim Burton movie, I could never really enjoy the old show again, it was just a joke.

Keaton fucking is Batman.

The animated series doesn't quite count because it was a cartoon, but it was well written and the voice/s were good, yes.

Val Kilmer just never felt like Batman or Bruce Wayne to me, I almost feel like I'm watching a completely different kind of movie during some parts in Batman Forever.

George Clooney was just a cruel joke.

Christian Bale wasn't really bad, but everything felt off to me, I dunno... I think it's the voice he used as Batman, it threw me.

I agree wholehearty. Keaton IS Batman. Val Kilmer tried to act like Keaton but failed.

Christian Bale did an awesome job as Batman.
Maybe he's not THE Batman, but he is definitely my favorite.

Omg Bede, tell me if Wolfcreek is shit so I don't have to waste time. I probably will watch it cause I'm a sucker for supporting Australian films.

ChickdelaLynch

I saw The Crucible in English today. Wow, what an overdramatic piece of crap. My English teacher cried toward the end. Winona Ryder is an annoying whore. People can't act. Ick.

really? i like cameron crowe. i just dont like orlando bloom or kirsten dunst. if  it was other actors, i'd see it.

manic_bastard

anyone a fan of woody allen? i love and enjoy his movies a lot. i'm going to check out his upcoming flick once it comes out.

one weak

i like his older films...he is far too bland for me now, but maybe his new film will be good.

I really want to see Elizabethtown. Cameron Crowe has this habit of making me like movies who have actors I don't like in them. Plus I heard Ryan Adams in the previews. That's a big enough reason to go.

I saw MUTANTS (MUTANTEN), a German movie. It was pretty good, I must say. It made me want to learn German.

i'd never really watched anything with them. i think this is a really different role for orlando. you should at least give it a go.
