I never once said that marijuana had equal risk of over dose or physical dependency.  That's common knowledge that doesn't need to be stated.  Should we also point out that Marijuana is green and Alcohol is a drink?  This whole safety thing is your trip.  I dont even know why you are on it.  Everyone already knows this.

My point was that to me you looked very ignorant to say that you are better than those who chose to drink and take pills because you choose to smoke pot instead.  Pot heads, Alcoholics, and Pill Poppers are all in the same category in my eyes.  All substance abusers who probably just use their drug of choice to take off an edge and the vast majority can still maintain function in society.  One is not better than the other.  Any of these drugs can cause major health issues, impair motor function and judgement, should probably not be used on a daily basis unless told to do so by a physician, and have the risk to form some sort of dependency wether it be physical or mental.

And yes, mental addiction is a legitimate ailment that many pot smokers suffer from.  Just because their bodies are not shaking does not mean they are not jonesing.

In other news.  A crack head calls a heroin addict a degenerative low life member of society.  And certain members of SL dont find that hypocritical at all.  Stay tuned for their response.

PERIOD.  IN my eyes I'm glad I'm not either of them because of the safety issue.  You simply went off an another one of your tirades, on "do you think there is a difference"   and yes, I responded... One is very much safer than the others.   I never stuck up my nose, and I never by any means said I was better than anyone.  To each their own.. Substance abuse is substance abuse one way or another.  All three are downers of close potency.  The duration of the euphoria is close to the same.........well a lot is the same.  Im not going to sit here and list things that you already know.  as you seem to think you need to do with me.  I just find it very strange that you would think you are better than someone because your recreation is "safer" if your eyes.

I am not going to respond anymore.   Here it is from my perspective.  You are being thick minded, and you are going around and around in circles for the sake of argument.    I have lived with all three stereotypes... being ppl that are addicted to pills.. and people that are alcoholics.   I choose weed.   And whether you know it or not.. some people would rather use a Class A on the weekend rather than smoke weed throughout the week and vice versa, think that pretty much sums this thread up. i don't smoke weed but take the odd bit of mandy or coke on the weekend because I enjoy it, depends who i'm with and I will always make an effort to at least gauge people's views on drugs if i don't know them before going on about it. living in brighton in the uk there's a pretty rife drug scene anyway and i'd be considered relatively lightweight, which i'm happy with.
