Being from the south, you hear alot of racist comment's from people. I am far from racist, but unfotunately my father is,and it irks me. But I have taught my son to be better than that. He asked the other day if he could marry someone that wasn't the same color as him,and I said of course. Reason being,a girl in his class is half Saudi, and he really likes her. ;D

But off my rant and back on topic,I need a smoke!

You're being pretty vague. What do really think? Rating out of 10?

Also download and listen to Muscle Museum and Sunburn from their Showbiz album, and Megalomania, Feeling Good and Screenager from Origin Of Symmetry.

You only recommended Lucky and Let Down, and of the two, I managed to listen to Let Down. What an adequate title - I was thoroughly 'let down' by it. I don't think Radiohead are for me. I'm not saying they don't have talent, but I just don't like their music. I'll download those three though anyway, just for the hell of it. I'll let you know what I think once I've heard them.

You live in England with me, and yet you don't like possibly our finest musical export, and instead listen to gay bands like Muse? Let Down is like my fav song on Ok Computer man. It's fucking amazing.

They're not heavy enough for me, and at least Muse have a kick to their music. The Radiohead songs I've heard are completely boring. In fact, I don't really think they can be compared (except vocally, perhaps) because they have a totally different musical sound.

Chrisbo

Heh, open your mind, that's to you Zaz, the next bit isnt! Appreciate music for what it is, instead of comparing it to other things. I've learnt to think that way when it comes to music and it's then that you get the good surprises. I think you can if you try, learn to appreciate music which isnt heavy just as much as music which is heavy! Fact when it comes to music, I ignore the heavy and the non heavy thing, I tend to go more for the mood and how it makes me feel. I'll listen to Converge and get the same feelings I get from a Radiohead record, it's the underlying content which gets me. But then I guessed you have tried Radiohead, if you dont like them then fair enough, no doubt there'll be a point down the road where we'll all be like 'Told you so!' haha! Just kidding!  :D

To keep on topic again, I wish I was drunk!  ;D

If one day I actually start liking Radiohead I won't be ashamed to admit it, musical taste isn't a definite thing so I might potentially change my mind, although I really don't see it happening because I really don't like them. Other bands I've changed my mind about I've actually been able to tolerate at first, but we'll see. 8)

RADIOHEAD > everything else

You're listening to music in the wrong way. Music isn't about which band is better than another, music is about what appeals to you. You can tell me Radiohead is better than Muse all you want, it won't change my mind - I prefer Muse to Radiohead any day. Fair play to Muse if they aspire to be like Radiohead, as from what I've read they are a talented band, but I prefer Muse's sound which is totally different from Radiohead's anyway and thus makes this entire discussion kind of pointless. Diss Muse all you like, the fact of the matter is that they are a good band and they make good music. If you want to slander them by labelling their music as 'pop', go ahead, but you're wrong so it could never bother me. It's the truth that hurts, after all, not a bunch of made-up crap from a closed-minded elitist.

Haha, and who are you to decide that? Have you recently been appointed spokesperson for Radiohead or something? ::)

And that's an interesting comment 'every band out there today sounds like muse' but until you substantiate it with evidence in the form of names of said bands, I will disregard it for the obvious bollocks that it is.

KingCrimson

i was listenin to ComLag last night... it just reminded me how fucking good radiohead are.
after that i whacked on amnesiac, Life in a Glasshouse is the most moving song ive ever heard.

i like you alot. you have a very calm personality

i agree with you debating over which band is better is insane. the only reason i flipped out about muse being too pop driven is because i had been listening to radiohead all day, and i was watching videos of them and stuff while i was posting. so i had a radiohead hard on at the time, and became mean and arrogant rather than respecting your musical taste

i do like muse believe it or not, and i will listen to there other albums besides absolution.

From what I've heard about the male reaction to 'certain types of soooooounds', that's actually possible!

Of course I believe it, I haven't come across a single person who doesn't at least like Muse, and I've managed to convert quite a few people to them - including my best friend who absolutely hates anything remotely rock or metal.
