anyone notice that most cheap vodka brands always end with "OV" ?.

That's because every name in Russia ends with 'ov' and the cheapest vodkas probably come from Russia. But whenever I drink vodka, it'll be the cheapest finnish vodka (it's almost good too unlike the russian poisons)...or even cheaper and two times stronger estonian spirits. Though nowadays I rarely drink vodka.

My friends are always moaning about Vodka and saying how it's such a vile drink but I personally don't think it's that bad.

I'd still have Gin or Whiskey over Vodka any day though.

There's a few pubs I go to occasionally when I have the money (which isn't that often)- the Junction, the Links, Beluga, Kings Arms (for the Karaoke). I prefer getting wasted at peoples houses, you have more freedom to run about and fuck shit up (normally that shit happens to be yourself).

Gin I guess is for an aquired taste, to me it just tastes like really strong lemonade, I don't know.

i havent been in the junction for FAHKING AGES, mainly because when me and my mates went it was a total underager pub, except for the alchies at the bar, then they got in shit and had to have a dude on the door, havent bothered going back since i turned 18. as for the links, its a bit busy likes, but if you have a snapfax or whatnot then it can be a good larf.

sad to say im a citrus/opium/mission man

oh by the way, if youre up for it my band is playing at the subway cowgate on wednesday night, 2buck, 7pm for the doors and were on last so something like half 9 /10.

Haha yeah! A big group of my friends used to go there a lot until, like you say, they got in shit and had to ask people for id. I started going after and I've never been id'd once so it's cool. I like the Links cause when it's cold at night you can get them to put those fire/heater things on and you can still sit outside. I've never been to Citrus but Opium's pretty cool. The Mission - only been once years ago and I remember going ape shit cause they played Minerva.
What sort of style would you say your band is? I might come along if I can get someone to come with me, but I do have a Maths exam on Friday that I haven't revised for yet - depends how I feel in a couple of days.

Hey no worries man! I'm generally open minded when it comes to music (but not too open minded, not saying I like McFly or anything  ).

To tell you the truth I really don't know anything about the local bands. I went to an Emergenza Battle Of The Bands (at the Subway) and there was some cool bands there. Can't remember their names though.

man vodka is not that bad, many people dont like it. and yes it does give u kind of a numb feeling, cuz i was drinking vodka last sat. and i was feeling all loose and numb , and i only drank like around 6 shots ,i thought i was gonna get sick if i kept drinking(even tho i didnt feel sick at all) cuz i usually dont get numb, but i wasnt that fucked up,i guess vodka just does that to you. i like feeling numb though, its a soothing feeling.

whisky isnt bad, Jack D mainly, never scotch, scotch is what my dad drinks. Southern Comfort and lemonade is the shit also, but expensive.

Absinthe shots are also okay.

Yeah, I drink mud if it has alcohol but I prefer a 12-pack of beer, a nice starter before the bars. I don't usually like whisky but Johnnie Walker's Green Label was quite good though it costs millions...Blue Label is more expensive and might even be better.

I've drank 12 beers within the last two days and still got two left. I gotta get a new case tomorrow. Damn, now my drinking goes to weekdays because I wasn't drinking last weekend.
