the shins are definitely awesome. and it's a shame that people think they're emo (well every band is 'emotional' in some way, but you know what i mean), cause they're not.

i've been to every Shins gig they've had in Sydney and no emo fans here. there's a lot of shaggy looking guys though, they look like they've just woken up and i didn't mind that. at what other gig besides a Shins gig are you going to get shouted a beer because you have elephants on your skirt.
