And all the days I've missed you 🍂

Is no one gonna bring up the arena gig in Sacramento? In terms of career staples I thought this was it

That's probably the most logical place to debut new songs. If not then I think between April and June we'll get the singles and album release

You keep saying this. I have no reason to believe you, but for some reason I do. 2025 has been a big middle finger to my life so far. This would just be the rotten cherry on top. I *really* needed new Deftones sooner than later to get through whatever else is coming my way. I just need to let go and trust that God/Jesus/Allah/Brahma/Buddha/Karma/Universe has a plan and that Deftones in November is when I will need it most  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Throw your faith in me. I'll take you some place brand new....

The Sacramento show is our greatest chance they tease or announce something. Honestly, if not, we won't get news until May-June

You'll get through whatever it is that's going on. You've gotten through everything else so far. And then Deftones will be waiting for you at the end of it. And you'll be invigorated by their energy and can use them to cope as life continues to challenge you as it always does.

Quote from: sharinglungs on Feb 26, 2025, 06:04 PMAny time is the perfect time to introduce fans to new songs... if it wasn't, touring musicians wouldn't exist.

I honestly believe they wont drop anything until the end of this US tour. Long year and booked up next year as well. They are not in any rush and smart money is that this will most likely be the last full length album. In another 4 years they will be like 55-60 years old.

Didn't see it that way but you're right they are pretty old now. Definitely going see them on the Europe Tour because who knows how they will be next time.

My guess is a new song during the American tour and then singles on spotify/youtube in september/november. Nowadays a lot of artist put singles on spotify like 4 months before the release date, you can pre save the album a that time and so on.
I think they follow this "modern communication style", a lot of fancy video on Instagram and everything. I dont see them shadow drop the whole thing.

And please make Stephen Carpenter great again, in the past I was focused on Chino's vocals to bring back his voice of ATF or WP but the more I listen to the last albums, the more I find Stephen somewhat lazy, uninspired or not involved at all.
I'm happy with the return of Nick Raskulenicz, I was disappointed in the Terry date sound on Ohms almost like a stepback in sound quality. DE and KNY made Stephen sounds huge again.

It seems like this first leg of the tour is the greatest hits tour... I am now going into the canon of no info until after the April shows and before the June shows, 100%.

i´m going to see them in Portugal, 13th June, I just hope they have something new by then, but tbh im starting to seriously think this will be a middle/end of the year release...

Anybody who follows The Mars Volta know if they played any new music?

Back when Ohms came out, my girlfriend worked at Warner Music, so I got some infos a couple weeks earlier. What the album and singles would be called and when they would release and so on. Wish I still had that luxury, I would feel no shame in letting you all know lol

Truly a new era for the band... Steph is rocking pants and Vans on stage.

Final hit of copium for me: Same established set March 5th, then new songs (maybe even NEW new songs) on March 6th.

Since it's the same venue two nights in a row
