Before, no doubt. I think we hit 1000 posts before we even hear a new song. They are dragging this out big time and I bet they will have a big, long lead up to the first single. That will bring everyone out plus a bunch of newer fans and people from r/deftones. Only way we don't hit 1000 posts before we hear a new song is if they surprise us and play one live with no build up.

I think April/May will be when new album marketing gets out there. Including singles.

They won't be playing any shows at that time.

Then the international tour begins, wherein Steph won't take part. So unlikely the album will be released before that, since he won't be there to perform those songs' debut.

Album in July/August right before the North American pt. 2 tour (as advertised with the snake).

This is what I think too, after the first leg of the tour ends we'll get info on the new album, but it won't drop til later summer when they're playing with Stef again. I personally can't see them playing new songs for the first time without Stef, but who knows.

^^^ I agree. I cannot imagine Stef would be too happy if they premiered a song that he helped write without him there to play it. It may be a long summer boys. On the bright side if it actually does drop this winter, it'll be some fresh sexy time music for people hunkering down in the winter lmao

Do you guys think there could be features on this record? Last one I recall is Jerry Cantrell on Phantom Bride, but it was a more typical thing for them in the early days.

Zach Hill from Death Grips also did the finger snapping on Spell of Mathematics for Ohms, but thats a much less noticeable feature. I'd expect something similar to that for this album but I'd love a guest vocalist for a song, like in Mein or Passenger

I wouldn't necessarily expect it. They're good at not contriving a feature for the sake of it. They mainly seem to happen if a space opens up in a song where a certain person might fit, as with the Jerry Cantrell and Maynard appearances, or it's a subtle spontaneous collaboration when someone happens to be around the studio, like the Zach Hill one or Scott Weiland discreetly appearing on RX Queen.

Although I strongly suspect that the Serj and Annie Hardy features on SNW only happened because Chino was bored of the songs.

I don't think a label cares whether music is released before Stef has a chance to play it live. I'm still expecting it to come sooner than July.

I think we should not forget that on the Roskilde festival page it is stated that the band will already have new music. Let's pretend that it is a typo, but I think the label would have noticed it by now and it would be gone, but check the festival site.

I think/hope it'll come out between the end of this tour and the Europe dates.. April 9-June 13th

I also have a new theory/speculation. The time between the snake favicon and the website adding the text and checkbox was about 2 weeks.

2 weeks from the website change is April 9. Last day of the tour. Possible date for another change/update/tease
