Yes, Headless is a flat-out amazing song. That "ooh, your attempt is useless" part might be some of the trippiest sounds they've ever come up with, every time I hear it I think my brain is gonna explode. Guess that's why they call it Headless. *bows*

These visualizers are really dope. Warner Bros. really did a fantastic job promoting this album and I hope it sells well.

Same, I mailed them abt this, and they sent both ohms single and Genesis

I sent them a mail abt this, after that they sent genesis along with ohms single

My god the chorus to Headless is incredible. One of those classic Chino vocal melodies that only he could conjure up.

I guess the 9 string may have been used for the chorus of Headless since it sounds so huge, Same for the chorus of TSOM, love how chunky it sounds

Google "Mexican bingo cards", I think that's actually what they are and not tarot cards.

Still holding out somehow. Want to settle down later in the day with a beer and completely absorb it.

Headless is growing on me.......at first I didn't care for it...but man it's growing and FAST.

Hey guys, a little off topic I guess but did anyone ask Chino about Team Sleep in any of the new interviews???

ChubbyChino

I  don't see many people commenting on Urantia. But for me it's a masterpiece. One of their best songs ever. I hope it's the next single.

OKAY...I need to center and hit Reset.
Gonna confess some shit,  this Album like most Tones Records every one has moved me...Ohms differently.

The Groove is unmistakable, Chino is on point. Pure Fucking Deftones!  I'm 50 this year just like a few of the boys in the band. Terry Date's Ears should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Every Record for me, as the Band, as us All, is a Snapshot in Time.  This Message is just what I needed! Steph, Abe, Frank and Serge have created  a Gift I'm so thankful to Open!

The "10" uninterrupted minutes of Pomp and Dead combined might be the greatest in Deftones History.
So yeah, outside of that the Album sucks...
One last Thing...You Should Beware the Content!!

Thank God that you........ love..... at all.

Still can't got the second half of Ceremony out of my my head. What a fucking killer track.

Still don't quite see what others are seeing in Urantia lol. It's good. But I'm surprised so many seem to be in love with it.

I feel this. We all get hyped about new Deftones. A lot of it though is trying to make ourselves think we like it more than maybe we actually do.

Ohms though is so good, you start thinking shit like "is this a top 3 album? No. Can't be. I'm just too hype right now"

Whether or not this is a top 3 album will be purely subjective. But Ohms just *feels* different than anything they've done in a long, long time. Not sounds, but feels. I'm glad I took a few days off work for this. I am so glad you enjoy it :D
When people whisper it makes her nervous.

IN WAVES

Ohms, Genesis, Ceremony, Urantia, and Pompeji are my stand outs. I immediately gravitated towards them, on a first time listen.
Radiant City as well, to a lesser extent.

IN WAVES

Ok, I'm coming around to Error as well. Second listening. lol

976-EVIL

I don't know if anyone listens to these messages but I'm calling about DEFTONES!!!!

Urantia might be the catchiest song they've ever done, it's like Chino pretending he's in Duran Duran while you've got Steph chirping in with a dirty riff just to remind you who this band is.  I heard the terrible quality version of this and thought I would end up hating it but I think it might be one of my favourite Deftones songs ever.

Pompeji is one of those tracks where on first listen I couldn't wrap my head around it but now I can't stop listening to it.

I'm impressed at how well the album flows, it might be one of their best overall. The only track I was a bit underwhelmed by is TLID, mainly because everyone was raving about it. That, and the rest of the album surprised me. I love the heavy bass but Stefs riffs don't really pop in the way I was hoping on that song. I like the track, but for the song with Chino's most aggressive and in your face vocals I would have expected a nastier riff. I think people went a bit OTT with their descriptions of that one. Still good, but not WGTB heavy like people said. It reminds me of a more aggressive Epic by FNM, like a bass led rap rock kinda groove. Still the sort of song they've not made in a long time so a welcome return. I just wish the main guitar riff was a bit more prominent like on something like Lotion or hexagram.

I love Error too, very early pumpkins esque but still it's own thing. The whole album is pretty great which is such a relief given that the expectation levels were so high. It will be interesting to see where people rank it once it's lived with us for a year or two.
