This album is both instantly brilliant yet deep and complex.  It's a bit of a paradox. someone basically said the same thing above. it's definitely a grower but there is almost nothing that is disappointing either.it's really hard to find the words to describe this sound. after few listens I think I can safely say it exceeded the hype, and my hype was fuking through the roof. for those that are holding out for another day oh my goodness you're in store for something special.

also I don't think it's a stretch to say that Genesis and Holmes are the weakest tracks on the album. But even then they sound so so much better in context of the full album. it's hard to say where this will rank as time passes, but this will at least be considered one of their most strongest and consistent albums. there's not a track that's even remotely worth skipping IMO.

Holmes :D

The lyrics in TLID are really intriguing. Depends on how you interpret them, but I can't help feel that it's referring to his Deftones future.

Just my opinion of course.

I felt it's kind of like Good Squads lyrics.... Talking about expectations etc

That was a stellar first listen, can't stop jamming Urantia and Error's closer is just godly, like damn.

I will say the title track love goes up for me, I already did dig it but I will say it fits the 'context of the album' so to speak. Will leave it at that.

For me, the whole record is utterly incredible. Radiant City is jaw dropping.

This album is ... all sorts of wow. It's nothing like I was expecting it to be. It's like the band scored an unmade, heavy take on a Blade Runner movie from an alternate dimension.

It's sitting on my phone right now, looking all seductive. Don't know whether to play yet.

So people.....

Steph might not be using the lowest strings of the 9 on certain songs. I can here hear three songs I think he uses it on.... I'd be interested to know what you all think.
He uses it in the Ohms video - Probably for promo etc, but you can play that on a 6 in standard :) It's sorta of difficult to work out if some are in 9 or 8. As he might be using it, but not going as low as it goes.
I think I hear 3 tracks that it sounds like the 9 string.

Urantia is like Steph and Chino had dual custody of that song :D It still works though.
