Pompeji was not what I was expecting. Not bad, just didn't immediately connect with me, think it'll grow on me more. Same with Spell of Mathematics. Maybe because those two had the most hype??? Both still solid tracks though.

Daaamn, the screams on This Link is Dead. Awesome stuff.

Still digging through the internet but I'm afraid I'll have to give up soon. I'm happy for you guys who are listening to it tonight though.. This damn album is all I've been thinking about for weeks. Every Deftones album is a life event for me but this one feels different than the others. It's special and I am so fucking stoked to experience it.

Does the 9-string just do Rosemary-esque chugga chugga or does Stef riff a little bit? And, any riffs that stick out as much as BQAD or My Own Summer?

Very true. Vesanic, you do a LOT for the community of Deftones fans, but then also to help the band itself. It would've been very easy to allow the leaks from Chino since they came from him specifically, but you took a high road and stuck to it even while worrying that you'd be viewed as a hypocrite for how you might have been in the past with leaks.

The album sucks honestly. You can tell a bunch of nerds just started listening around KNY. This is shit.

When you first listened to the band doesn't change your music tastes lol you sound dumb. I started listening just before DE but that's my least favourite album. Sorry you don't understand the concept of opinions.

Hearing the singles a few times didn't affect anything for me. I kept it pretty measured. I stopped listening to them after a few times. In my humble opinion, It's an record you play all the way through and don't skip anything. It really well put together.

It affected me because I impatiently sat through Genesis for the 50th time waiting for the next song lol but I haven't listened to Ohms much so that'll be a nice way to close it.

Its a miracle it took this long. This is a real win for the band/label. The hype surrounding this album is incredible. Worth the wait IMO. It's so good.

Well, I've finished it. I love it, but I love all the albums, so that doesn't say much. Impossible to rank it right now, but I'm extremely happy. Got a good range of everything you can expect from Deftones, and on some songs/moments they sound a bit out of the box in a good way. Based on reviews and people's descriptions, I was expecting a darker vibe at least for some songs, but I don't really get that much. Also, Ohms closes the album really well. I wouldn't have thought it just from the single, but listening to it all, it feels complete...and then it immediately flows nicely into Genesis, unfortunately for my sleep-deprived mind lol.
