This album may be the first time where the song I personally see as the strongest cut turns out to be THE fan favorite.

For me,
Adrenaline was Fist (followed by Bored)
ATF was Damone
WP was Pink Maggit
Deftones was Hexagram
SNW was Riviere
DE was This Place is Death
KNY was Graphic Nature
Gore was Acid Hologram

Same... kinda (about TSoM anyway)

Adrenaline - One weak
Around the fur - Be quiet and drive
White Pony - Feiticeira
S/T - Battle-axe
SNW - Kimdracula
DE - Diamond eyes
KNY - Tempest
Gore - Hearts/Wires

Ignore reviews, your own opinion is what counts people!

After a full week of listening to the album, I can say it's one of the best, the flow is perfect, the song structures and fantastic, the sound is perfect, it's up there with the best work they have done

Couldn't agree more!

Really diging the record as well.

Love how each track flows so well into the next one. This is one of those cases where I really don't want to listen to the songs individually, but rather experience the whole thing.

Each song has something special to offer, if not the full track, at least one section of it,  something that makes you want to come back again and again.

The only thing I could see getting old at some point would be those few  "1 Big chord / 1 bar" chorus (Urantia & Error come to mind), but in a way, those moments allowed the track to breath a bit instrumentally, and were supported by strong vocal melodies.

Ohms got a 7.6 from Pitchfork 🤔
That's actually good for pitchfork

If you read the review, it was pretty glowing in their praise both of the band and the album. White Pony got 8.4, Gore got 7.8 and self titled has 4.7 on there.

They're not massively generous with their scores, even if they actually like the band. Ohms has the same rating as TRT by FNM for example, Fear Innoculum has 5.4 on there while Lateralus is at 1.9 for crying out loud.

I believe their scores come from a combination of writers so the review will often read slightly differently to the score, as it does there.
I could float here forever

Sure, my own opinion is what counts as far as I'm concerned. However, better reviews means more attention to the band. It's not like my love for Ohms or the band itself is going to change with a good or bad review, otherwise I'd hate the Self Titled and it's my favorite from them. But, I do care that the band gets the attention they deserve, from both fans and critics, because I think they deserve it. So in that sense, I do still care about reviews.

I kinda expect a "Why You No Review" after his reaction to genesis

buflen

TBH i prefer that over a review not judging the music itself, but a negative biased against the style.

What was his reaction to Genesis? I saw him mention Ohms in one of his weekly roundup videos, but I didn't see anything about Genesis.

Hated it, hated the "djenty riffs" and chino's scream.

I'll be honest, it's my least favorite track on the whole album too. I wasn't too impressed with it at first either, so I can relate.

I loved it on first listen, which means I think its a great song, but its definitely not my favorite.
My favorite is def TSOM, but my first reaction to it was : That chorus sounds like deftones doing a cover of another band.
