It was literally 30 hours from giving Deftones those listens on Spotify or whatever. Man this is sad. A week ago or something I'd get it, but like... not even two days.

why do you think they won't get them anyway?

I'm just shocked it went as long as it did without leaking... makes my wait not so excruciating.

Most people here have pre-ordered the album in one form or another, will be streaming the album rather than keeping this leak, and support the band in other ways. And the casual fans you think won't bother buying albums if they've got leaks, well...they're not really the kind to be refreshing a forum every five seconds to try to find a leak, are they? Because they're not obsessed. Most people don't even pirate these days, with all the streaming services available. If the album is on Spotify, people will for sure be listening there over downloading leaks.

Im sure the overall listeners base will listen from the legal way on streaming platforms and some will buy. Fans will buy no matter what and listen the legal way.

My point is, people listening now might be only "a few".

Last leak I downloaded was Tool last year and I can't remember last one before that. Usually I just wait til a release friday for all my music. Usually...

What are the odds that ShitCunt was actually Vesanic's alter ego posting?

I get that and I'm very hypocritical to younger me. I just really hoped it wouldn't. I don't know, some innocence in that.

You've just got a different outlook than you used to, which is cool. They did a really good job keeping it out until now, to be honest. I don't know how they managed it, but they've learned a lot from previous albums lol.

I find consolation in that it's a lossy rip. You can reaaaally hear that.

It's not different to spotify type quality. From an engineers perspective, you can usually hear it in the cymbals and spotify overly compresses the tracks so you need to do the master slightly differently before you send them to the streaming services, if you know what you are doing anyway...

Damn, it's been such a long time since waking up, going to this forum and seeing like 40 new pages of album discussion lol going to be WILD.
