I can't wait to hear a Deftones album that actually sounds like Deftones. I put on Gore for a minute and switched to a Date album right after. Night and fucking day.

There's no reason they need to wait to tour to release the album. Once touring starts, they're going to sell out every single date no matter what because people will be concert crazy after all of this.

Yeah it's an old mindset. Albums support tours now, not the other way round.

I put the needle down on Gore this past weekend and honestly my opinion of it is better now than ever before. It definitely took time to grow on me, but now I consider it a decent album even for Deftones.

I even consider it better than some albums that I won't mention, because it might get me chased off this board by screaming people carrying pitchforks and torches.

Hey man, fair enough. I think the songwriting is great, I was more commenting on the production.

It's public in the same sense that having a conversation in the street is; it exists in a public space but the nature of it is broadly private. I think it's fine to respect that Sergio and Chino almost certainly don't want what they say on those streams to be printed in the music press or anything like that.

Yeah, us Deftones die hards really torture ourselves every new album cycle by constantly checking in here just to be met with no new updates lol. I remember shortly before Gore dropped, someone had some leaks from a vinyl rip and they were DM'ing them to people here. The leak wasn't even reported on hasitleaked yet, so we were first grabs for leaks as far as I could tell. So I just keep checking in hopes that I am here if something like that happens again. I'm just waiting for that day I come on and the page number on this thread has spiked haha
