Is the 16/44 2016 studio collection identical to the Itunes and 24/96 versions that were just released ?
Allegedly, Headup 16/44 is the extended version, whereas the 24/96 version is only 5:13.
Root 16/44 has the scream, but the 24/96 doesn't.
Pink Maggit 16/44 doesn't have the doctor, but the 24/96 does.

Can anyone confirm there are differences indeed ?
Theyre not identicle. iTunes has an exclusive version of the collection that can only heard through them or from what i hear, HDtracks as well. All others wont be the same, it anything, those are just the regular tracks but with a different EQ IMO

Thanks for the clarification.
So, if I understand, iTunes has many differences, HDTracks has a few differences, and the other ones are pretty much the regular tracks with a different EQ ?

iTunes and HDTracks 24/96 should both be the same as far as differences. I understand that the "other ones" are the same old retail versions.

So just wanted to clarify that the deftones discography in FLAC 24-bit – 96.00 kHz are the same as the itunes remasters ?

Wow. I'm listing to the HDtracks version and I love the variations on the tracks, the sound is amazing. As everyone else has said, why didn't the band promote this. Its great.

More importantly, does HDtracks actually provide a loseless copy of the remastered collection or does it have the same compression rate as iTunes? /is it a scam like the so-called 24-bit albums on Qobuz?

They're all DR 5, wich is really shitty. Eventhough they sound good. The best deftones sound ive heard. Ive never heard the vinyls on a competent setup.

I see a FLAC version on the torrents website. Would love to buy it through itunes but itunes india have removed all the songs with any explicit lyrics so doesn't make sense :/

You could try it out, if its free then its worth a shot. But if its not legit, theres always HDtracks
