I think it's ugly/annoying down there at the bottom of the page and I think people need that extra second or 2 of thought process before they post.

Maybe, but it's just my opinion. When I got to check the latest reply of  a thread, I scroll all the way down immediately and I see something like this...

Now I see this...

So I have to change how much I scroll...a minor inconvenience, yes, but an inconvenience nonetheless.

I think people need that extra second or 2 of thought process before they post.
